Tennis players choose from four indoor courts and four outdoor clay courts. Our Men’s and Women’s Inter-Club League play, mixers and open play make it easy to get involved. Heatherhurst Golf Club offers two beautiful courses, the Crag and the Brae. On the Brae course the front 9 provides the most challenge including a double dogleg fairway with two forced carries over Otter Creek on the 4th hole, said to be one of the toughest par 5's in Tennessee. The back 9 offers three par 3's, three par 4's and three par 5's with undulating fairways and encroaching bunkers. Number 10 is a par 5 that moves down hill to a green overlooking Lake Dartmoor. The Brae is the only course in the area with Zoysia grass fairways, optimal during the hottest summer months. Course designed by Gary Roger Baird. Our well-marked, well-maintained trails range from paved walking surfaces connecting most of Fairfield Glade’s amenities, to more challenging paths through enchanted looking forests. It is here that deer, eagles, and other wildlife mysteriously appear, providing photo opportunities along the way. Enjoy scenic mountain views, rocky cliffs, natural caves and winding creeks with seasonal whitewater. It’s no wonder hiking has become one of Fairfield Glade’s most popular recreational activities. Architect Joe Lee has taken a pristine tract of land in the rolling and wooded Cumberland Plateau and made it his personal canvas for the masterpiece that is Stonehenge. The course gets its name from walls of native stone found throughout the 6,549 yard, par 72 layout. Natural rock outcroppings come into play on several holes, with a 15 foot layered stone retaining wall running along the left and rear of the signature downhill par 3, 14th hole. Stonehenge Golf Club is proud to feature bent grass tees, greens and fairways for prime playing conditions. During the winter of 2016-17 Stonehenge Golf Course underwent bunker renovations. This was accomplished in order to improve drainage and playability for a better golfing experience. Course designed by Joe Lee. We are pleased to announce that Stonehenge Golf Club has been ranked #2 as Golfweek Magazine’s “Best Courses You Can Play in Tennessee.” Each year, Golfweek Magazine ranks golf courses state-by-state. Stonehenge Golf Club has placed in the top five for the past several years, moving up from #5 in 2015. DRUID HILLS In 1970 the first 9 holes of golf opened for play in Fairfield Glade. All 18 holes were completed in 1973 and the championship course was named Druid Hills Golf Club. Located on the highest point in Fairfield Glade, as the name suggest, Druid Hills provides several scenic views of the surrounding mountains. With rolling, tree-lined fairways, plenty of water, several doglegs, and undulation bent grass greens, Druid Hills is a true test of golf. The park is conveniently located on gorgeous Lake Catherine and includes two covered pavilions, bocce courts, a fishing pier, grills, restrooms and plenty of space for organized activities. For more information about renting this space please call (931) 484-3722 106 Snead Drive Bocce Ball If Bocce Ball Is How You Roll… Our 60’ X 10’ bocce ball courts are concrete, covered with outdoor carpeting aiding in straight and accurate throws. Rubber backed side rails allow for managing throws by bouncing balls off the rails. Bocce Ball is an enjoyable game for people of all ages, and at Robin Hood Park, you’ll find everything you need to join in. Being able to stand and toss or roll a ball is the sole requirement to get started. Covered areas with benches at either end of the courts provide shade and rain protection for players, while side benches and space for lawn chairs make for comfortable viewing. Roll. Laugh. Repeat.
