All 18 holes were completed in 1973 and the championship course was named Druid Hills Golf Club. Located on the highest point in Fairfield Glade, as the name suggest, Druid Hills provides several scenic views of the surrounding mountains. With rolling, tree-lined fairways, plenty of water, several doglegs, and undulation bent grass greens, Druid Hills is a true test of golf. Druid Hills Golf Club is open to members, Fairfield Glade guests, and the general public with some restrictions. Course designed by Leon Howard. And you don’t have to have a “green thumb” to participate in Fairfield Glade’s Community Gardens. Our experienced gardeners make those who may have never gardened before feel welcome and will happily provide advice and help if you desire it. Our garden area covers about two acres and is divided into 40’x40’ individual plots. Because of the size, some choose to garden a half plot. Some share with a friend, while others let us find a partner for them. Our garden fee is very modest and includes water access and spring tilling. The Community and Conference staff can direct you to the Garden Coordinator to answer any questions regarding our Community Gardens, whether you are a resident or just considering a move to Fairfield Glade.

Who's up for a 36-hole day? You can do it here with lunch between rounds. Heatherhurst Golf Club offers two beautiful courses, the Crag and the Brae. The Crag course is player-friendly with tee locations ranging from the most forward Green tees at 3,600 yards to the Blue tees at 6,200. Bentgrass tees and greens, wide fairways-great for short hitters, and strategically placed bunkers add to the fun. The 17th is the Crag's signature hole. The teeing areas sit on an overlook that will have you pausing to take in the view. Although the 17th is a short hole, driving accuracy is important. A favorite among our furry and feathered friends, don't be surprised to see deer, turkey, squirrels or other passers by on the Crag course. Course designed by Gary Roger Baird.
