"Ruby" Mai Cooper
Funeral service for "Ruby" Mai Cooper, 87, of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Columbia First Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Dawson officiating. Interment will be in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN . Mrs. Cooper died suddenly Friday evening, May 30th at Standing Stone Health Center in Monterey.
Mrs. Cooper was born January 10, 1916 in Columbia, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late William Sherman and Georgia Ruth Haley Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Cookeville, and a former member of the Columbia First Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robin Bruce Cooper.
Survivors include" one son and daughter-in law Rev. Billy and Rita Cooper of Laurel, IN; four grandchildren, Paula Cooper of Clearwater, Fl, Gloria Armstrong of Derry, NH, Melody Lewis of Elyria, Ohio, Stephen B. Cooper of Lynchburg, VA; five great-grandchildren, James, Miskov,Griffin Armstrong, Rhyan, Tyler and Reece Cooper; one brother, Edward Lewis of Columbia, TN.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wright, David Wright,Joel Wright,James Miskov,Charles Walters,Lloyd Holt, Homer Wiley,and Scott Michael.
The family will receive friend Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Tuesday afternoon, from 12:00 noon until time for services at the Columbia First Baptist Church.
